Allison was born in Charleston, South Carolina and has lived in varying areas of the state all her life. Interestingly enough, due to her northern parents, she possesses few to none of the stereotypical characteristics of a southerner (save a violent love for sweet tea). She is stubbornly idealistic, and she is waiting for an opportunity to change the world on a large scale. In the meantime, she attempts to make the world a nicer place on a smaller scale by treating people nicely and doing her best to be above reproach in regards to general congeniality.
At the time of this writing, Allison is a very excited future Duke student. When the dust of the college frenzy finally settled (as well as certain financial aid packages), it was determined that this was the best college for the money—and in general. She departs August 13th for a pre-orientation program centered around community service; with luck, her involvement with this program will excuse her lack of service over the summer. Move-in is the 21st. But not to worry. Despite being a few hours away without a vehicle, Allison will keep in touch with the lovely D5 team on these forums and via occasional visits during breaks.
Allison came to D5 Robotics her sophomore year, at the time a fresh-faced and little-stressed student eager for the dirty hands, gaping wounds (just kidding), and hardcore know-how that only a robotics club could provide. Her three years of D5 Robotics have contributed endlessly to her high school experience, and she is intent on remaining involved in FIRST one way or another.
